The Lady Bulldogs were outplayed and out hustled in the first half of our Varsity game against Newton on Friday. The Lady Braves of Newton came out fired up on their home field and Frankford was on their heels most of the first half. However, after a little halftime pep talk (or should I say, pep yell), the girls played much better in the second half with a total domination in the fourth quarter firing shot after shot on goal or just wide. Although the game ended in a 0-0 tie, we were extremely proud of the drive and heart the girls showed by fighting back and playing so well in the final period. Brigid Collins played very well in goal making several key saves to ensure the shut-out. Outstanding offense was played by Rylee Bambara, Leah Klimas, and Liliana Grisales. Dynamite defense was noted by Caitlin Miller, Madeline Hough, June Pecoriello and Madi Vance. In JV action, the girls played very well but also ended in a 0-0 tie against Newton. Joei McQuade had another shut-out in goal. Outstanding offense was played by Sofia Rizzo, Grace McEvoy, Norma Kemlein, Victoria Burns, Ariel Rouzer and Alexa Pagano. Dynamite defense was played by Savanna Laver, Ava Kithcart, Leighla Hatzinas, and McKaela Xirouchakis. Good game ladies, way to play tough !!! Next week: Please bring pink socks for games (but always have your red ones in your bag, just in case). Monday: No school for kids Tuesday: Home Game against Franklin Wednesday; Home game against Green Thursday: Off Friday: Away game at Andover

Yesterday the Varsity Bulldogs Soccer team won a very hard fought 0-1 victory against Lafayette. The match was a back and forth affair with both teams having very good chances. The Bulldogs broke through with a late second half goal by Kenley Pierson who received a great pass from Ty Stevenson for the go ahead score. Natalia Thornton made 4 saves in the match including a diving save to her right which prevented a sure goal.. A combination of great defence and smart goalkeeping saved one off the line in order to preserve the shutout. The whole team worked hard to grind out this victory. The Bulldogs play home next Thursday for the first time in over a week, so come on out for the match

The Bulldogs kept up their winning ways on the road with a 1-4 victory last night against a very feisty Franklin team. Owen Goal opened up the scoring for the match by recording a first half goal off of a Franklin player. The rest of the first half was a cagey affair with Franklin's goalie keeping the score line at 0-1 until the break. The Bulldogs opened up the scoreline in the beginning of the second half with a 22nd minute goal scored by Kenley Pierson assisted by Layla Marrero. Jules Matti would score a goal in the 31st minute assisted byTurner Sansone. Sansone would also assist Kenley Pierson's second goal of the match in the 38th minute to seal the victory for the Bulldogs. Franklin scored a consolation goal off of a penalty late in the match, but it did not matter as the Bulldogs brough the victory home to Frankford. Natalia Thornton recorded 2 saves from open play to secure the victory. The Bulldogs are once again on the road today to take on Lafayette.

The Varsity Lady Bulldogs dominated the game against Sussex Wantage today even though the score was 2-0. The Sussex Wantage goalie had over 15 saves and played a great game. Meadow Davis was in the perfect position right on the left post when Violet Baker sent the ball across the goal on a beautiful assist. It was a textbook goal and so pretty to watch. The second goal was scored by Leah Klimas off a nice feed from Jocelyn Torres. Brigid Collins had the shut-out again in goal. So far no one has scored on Brigid, way to go !!!! Excellent play was noted by Lilly Grisales, Claire Gushea, Maddie Hough, Siona Vance, Rylee Bambara, Madi Vance and Ashley Schell. Overall, great job ladies. In JV action, had a tremendous victory beating Sussex Wantage 1-0. Alexa Pagano had a beautiful goal off a nice feed from Grace McEvoy. Even though the score was 1-0, the girls dominated the entire game. Joei McQuade had another shut-out in goal for Frankford. The JV Lady Bulldogs were led today by Addie Yanoff, Lilly Emma, Norma Kemlein, Leila Hatzinas, Rylee Banbara, Sofia Rizzo, Payton Macfie, and Victoria Burns.

Today in Varsity Field Hockey action, the Lady Bulldogs continued their winning streak by beating Vernon 2-0. Lila Strehl was on fire, scoring both goals for Frankford. The first goal was assisted by Lilly Grisales and the second one was assisted by Rylee Bambara. Brigid Collins had another shut-out in the goal, way to go !! Leah Klimas, Ashley Schell, Maddie Hough, June Pecoriello played outstanding today. Once again our links, Jocelyn Torres and Claire Gushea helped control the game in the midfield. All the girls played very well and it was fun to watch them. Tomorrow we have our Home Opener against Sussex Wantage and the game will start a little earlier around 3:30 pm (Sussex Wantage has busing issues so they have to leave early and will be arriving early). The JV team played extremely well, ending up in a 0-0 tie with Vernon. Joei McQuade was outstanding in the goal making many beautiful saves. She is a natural goalie who just loves her position. Outstanding offense was played by Sofia Rizzo, Grace McEvoy, Ariel Rouzer, and Leigha Langenbach. Dynamite defense was played by Leila Hatzinas, Ava Kithcart, Savanna Laver, and McKaela Xirouchakis. Lilly Emma and Addison Yanoff once again anchored the team in their link positions. Overall, for their second game of the season the girls played great. The JV game should start around 4:30-4:40 tomorrow after the varsity game.

Frankford Varsity Soccer opened up their season with a 4-2 victory last night over Charter. Three first half goals were scored by Jules Matti (assisted by McKayla Dipple, Max Sobieski), Colton DeLima (assisted by Kenley Peirson), and Kenley Peirson (unassisted). The second half opened with two quick Charter goals to bring the match to 3-2 and brought a sense of urgency for the Bulldogs defensively. Colten DeLima scored late in the second half from a pass by Holden Bosma to secure the lead and the win for Frankford. A great effort was made by the whole team in very warm playing conditions. The Bulldogs next home match is Monday at 4pm, come on out and support the team!

The Frankford Greenhouse and Garden are doing great. Our summer crew grew some great fresh veggies and some VERY tall sunflowers in our new raised bed boxes. We are trying to sneak in a few lettuce plants before the frost in the hydroponic grower. Seedlings are already planted
