Jacob Weicenfeld joined the Polish partisans, resisted the Nazis as militia, and worked to document the atrocities suffered by Jewish prisoners. Genia Weicenfeld survived ghettos, cattle cars, death marches, Auschwitz Birkenau, and Ravensbruck. When she was liberated, she weighed only 42 pounds. May we always remember and honor the millions of lives lost and honor the stories of those who survived.
