COMMUNITY BULLETIN BOARD
Frankford Township School District supports the efforts of non-affiliated, community-based not for profit organizations that provide healthy and supportive activities for our students and their families. All flyers uploaded on the Community Bulletin Board and/or distributed through our schools must be approved by the District Superintendent. All flyers must meet the following criteria:
The sponsoring organization must directly serve Frankford Township students and/or their families.
The sponsoring organization must be not for profit and the literature non-commercial.
The sponsoring organization's purpose and mission must be consistent with applicable school board policies.
Flyers distributed through our school must display the following text "This is an independent organization and not affiliated with the Frankford School District."
The sponsoring organization must first get approval to distribute from the District Superintendent.
Sponsoring organizations are not to distribute flyers directly to students and teachers nor are the flyers permitted to be posted in schools without prior approval. All flyers must be dropped off to the school office for distribution.
Sponsoring organizations are not permitted to use District supplies or copiers. Copying and sorting must be done by the sponsoring organization. It is recommended that organizations receive district approval for distribution before making copies. Contact the school office for the necessary information. School will not copy or sort flyers.
School will distribute approved flyers consistent with their internal practices and at a time of their earliest convenience. Please contact the school offices for more information and allow adequate time for distribution.
Community organizations that want to post their information here can email a PDF version of their flyer for approval to bradyk@frankfordschool.org.
PROJECT SELF SUFFICIENCY
Project Self-Sufficiency provides services for all types of families in the New Jersey counties of Sussex, Warren and Hunterdon. Most services are free and many are open to the public. At the suggestion of the members of the Sussex County School Counselor’s Association, Frankford Township School has provided a link to Project Self-Sufficiency which we hope will be beneficial in their service to local families.
SUSSEX COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
The Sussex County Fairgrounds Complex has served as the home to a wide variety of year-round, cultural, farm-related, athletic, and entertainment events and has provided a venue for tourism for almost 70 years. In recent years, The Fairgrounds Complex has attracted and increased the number of off-season events. The large, well-maintained, park-like fields have been home to many cultural festivals including CrawFish Fest, Peter’s Valley Craft Fair and Champion of the Grill, Sussex County Horse Show, Spring Fest, and the Farmers’ Market, focusing on the bounty of the Agricultural Community. SCARC
SCARC, Inc. was formed in 1957 by concerned parents of children with developmental disabilities who could not find services for their children in any established agencies or schools. SCARC was essentially created to meet the needs of these families and their children. SCARC Inc - Supporting People with Developmental Disabilities. SCARC is dedicated to the empowerment and support of persons with developmental disabilities and their families. The organization will facilitate partnerships with community resources, assist in maximum community participation, promote individual planning based on choices, preferences and needs, and foster the development of socially valued roles for each person served.
FAMILY PARTNERS OF MORRIS AND SUSSEX COUNTIES
This Family Support Organization, is a private, family led, non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization funded by the New Jersey Department of Children and Families - Children's System of Care (CSOC). Our mission is to facilitate empowerment of parents and caregivers of children with emotional, behavioral, developmental, and mental health challenges through a community-based, family-centered, culturally competent system of support, education and advocacy.
All of the programs and events are offered free to residents of New Jersey. We think it would be a valuable resource to the families in your community to access the services available to NJ families through our programs and the New Jersey Children’s System of Care.
