I began working at Frankford in 2004, and truly enjoy working with the students, parents and staff of this community. My goal is help your children learn and grow, to their fullest potential regardless of their individual learning needs.
I have an extensive background in special education, having worked as a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant for nineteen years and a special education teacher for ten years. I have worked with student with disabilities in a variety of educational settings from preschool to eighth grade.
I graduated from the Trenton State College"The College of New Jersey" with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Special Education and certification in Elementary Education and Teacher of the Handicapped. I received a Master of Arts Degree as well as certification as a Learning Disabilities Teacher-Consultant "LDT-C" from Montclair State College.
As the LDT-C on the Child Study Team my role is to assess students academic achievement in regard to eligibility for special education and related services, consult with instructional staff to assist them in providing strategies and best practices for student learning and success, and monitor student performance. I also serve as the case manager for students assigned to me and am the contact person for those students and their families with regard to their education.
