Degrees and Certifications:
Proud Recipient of 2015-2016 Governor Teacher of the Year for Frankford Township School
ì Hola ! I am Sra. Febres, and this marks the beginning of my 7th year at Frankford as Middle School Spanish Teacher. I have been so impressed, and honestly, so touched, by just how warmly my students have embraced all things “Spanish” since my arrival … from the diverse music, to the delicious food to, of course, the beautiful language itself. I am Cuban and completely bilingual in Spanish and English, as well as fluent in Italian. As a child, I lived in many countries all over the world, including Italy, Spain and Colombia, and was fortunate enough to really experience the world from a very young age. I returned to the U.S. at sixteen to finish high school and attend college. My undergraduate degree is from Carnegie Mellon University in Industrial Management (business). I am currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Spanish and Urban Studies. I enjoyed a successful career in business before becoming a teacher, working for large companies in International Marketing and Business Development. Much of my work involved Latin America, where my “love” for the Spanish culture was re-awakened. I consider myself incredibly lucky to be able to devote my career to helping create a generation of children who will learn to see the world with wonder, understanding, compassion, and humility. I look forward to getting to know each of my students, and helping cultivate their love for this beautiful culture and language.
