Miss Amanda Raymond

Hello Frankford students and parents! The 2019-2020 school year will be my fifth year of teaching 7th/ 8th Grade Math at Frankford and this year I am very excited to be teaching our 8th Grade Algebra 1 class for the third year.

I feel very fortunate to teach in such a great school and community with such wonderful students! Prior to teaching 7th grade math, I have taught math in a variety of grades, including kindergarten, second grade, and fifth grade. I also possess a Middle School Mathematics specialization for grades 5-8. In all of my teaching experiences, I have really enjoyed making mathematics engaging, hands-on, and relevant to students’ lives. I certainly understand that math will sometimes puzzle your brain and seem challenging, but I love being able to help students “solve the puzzle” and understand or do something that they could not before!!

I encourage all students and parents to check my website for updated homework assignments, important documents, and announcements throughout the year. If you ever have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at the email address and phone number listed on this page. I value all questions and I know that communication is the key to success.

Besides teaching, here are some of my favorite things:

  • Running and yoga
  • Watching sports (mostly the New York Yankees!)
  • Reading a great summer book
  • Spending time with my family (I have a twin sister, who is also a teacher and another Ms. Raymond!)
  • Traveling to exciting places and spending time anywhere on the Jersey Shore
