The Lindley G. Cook 4-H Camp is an exciting, meaningful, and memorable summer experience for Frankford students. Children can get the opportunity to spend a week at Summer Camp located right in the center of Stokes State Forest. Lindley G. Cook is New Jersey’s state 4-H Camp and a non-profit organization operated by Rutgers University with enrollment open to all youth ages 8-16. Campers come from all different backgrounds and communities across the tristate area. Being a member of 4-H is not a requirement to attend camp; in fact, the majority of campers are not 4-H members.
L.G. Cook has been running residential Summer Camps since 1951, and continues to offer the same classic American summer camp experience they always had. They are a tech-free, no cell-phone or screens camp. The two central pillars of the program are kindness and respect because the campers’ emotional and physical safety is L.G. Cook’s highest priority. The mission is to instill self-confidence, foster independence, and give campers the best week of their summer.
There are six day sessions, Monday-Saturday, throughout all July and the first half of August. Campers can come one session, or multiple ones.
